5th Circuit Court of Appeals Changing Course and Reverses Its Decision to Lift the Stay on the Corporate Transparency Act

In an unprecedented move, on December 26, 2024, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals reversed its decision to lift the stay on the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) that it had ordered on December 23, 2024. As a result, Beneficial Ownership Information (BIO) reporting is again put on hold.

Because of this, BBDS&B is again instructing its clients to wait to file BOI reports until further instructions are provided as to the validity of the Act from either the Supreme Court or Congress.

If you have any questions on the multitude of recent decisions related to the CTA and BOI filing, please contact us.
